To Check Your Email Remotely using Webmail

The following screenshots will step you through the process to check your email using Horde Webmail. You can access your webmail with Horde by going to http://webmail.yoursite.com,  where "yoursite.com" is your domain name. The login name is the full email address i.e. you@yoursite.com and the password is the one that was setup for you when we created the email on the Cybertel server.

Horde offers many of the features available in PC based Email clients such as Outlook, Thunderbird Eudora etc.

Some of the features include:

If you have difficulty you can either email support@cybertel.net.au, or phone 1300 763 201.

Step 1

Open Internet Explorer or any web browser, and type webmail.yourdomain, (no www required). Eg, where your domain is www.abccompany.com, type: webmail.abccompany.com, as per the following screenshot.

Step 2

The Horde Webmail window will appear. Enter your username, being your full email address, and your email password.

Step 3

Once you have logged in, select, "Perform Maintenance Operations".

Step 4

Once logged in, all typical email functionality is available and functions in much the same way as Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo etc.

If you also use an email client like Outlook Express to check your mail and still want to access the mail with Horde, make sure you check the option to leave mail on the server.  If you fail to do this, all your mail will be downloaded to your email client and won't be accessible via Webmail with Horde.  Please be aware though that leaving your emails on the server will increase your used disk space as well.

Congratulations, you're all done!
